This adds a level of interest that elevates it above the average sports betting site, making it a true all round site for the avid bettor. It bills itself as "The Punter Friendly Bookmaker".
This is Ireland`s biggest and most successful bookmaker. It has an extensive and long-standing land-based operation, founded in 1988, so the web site is simply the extension of an established and reputable business. It is listed on both the Irish and the London Stock Exchanges, under it`s holding company, Paddy Power Plc.
As far as sports betting is concerned, Paddy Power offers a wide range, including football, racing, golf, rugby union, rugby league, snooker, motor racing, athletics, darts, European sports, North American sports, winter sports, and cycling. Then there are the more unusual betting options, like hurling, the closing figures of world financial markets, reality TV shows, Coronation Street, international politics and the music charts.
A casino, a poker room and a bingo site are also offered. The casino uses proprietary Flash software, requiring no download. The poker room also uses proprietary software, but it needs to be downloaded. Both are independently audited and certified for fairness. The software used in our opinion is not the best out there. We highly recommend Paddy Power as a sports betting site, but recommend you look elsewhere for poker and casino games as this is not their speciality.
